Stories Aloud: Monthly Open Mic Storytelling for Adults

Second Friday of every month, September through June, 8:00. Doors open at 7:30. Button Factory Arts, 25 Regina St. South, Waterloo.

It’s the Story Barn experience in a new venue with the same open storytelling charm.

Bring along $5 and a mug for hot apple cider. Stories begin at 8pm. You are welcome to come to listen, but if our story charm should work its magic, you are welcome to share a tale.

Each evening is a once-only experience, with a potential mixture of traditional, literary, original, and spontaneous stories, told by heart, and expressed in prose, poetry, or song by tellers experienced and novice.

Come to listen, come to tell.

Suggested length for first-time tellers: 5 minutes or less. Longer stories by new tellers should be approved by the Host before stories begin.

Bring a mug for cider or tea.
